Filming Day 1

Our first day filming on the green screen was on the 10th October 2017. This was our first load of filming where we practiced using the green screen and practiced our lip syncing which we needed for our music video.

As it was our first time filming, it took us a while to get to grips with the lip syncing (definitely harder than it seems). After reviewing our footage on the computer we realised that we needed to edit some of our lip syncing film footage on final cut pro making it slower by around 98% just to make it fit in with the speed of the music. After multiple attempts, we got the hang of how things work and it started to come together. The equipment we used for was our iPhone 7 camera horizontally for footage, the green screen and lighting and the computer to play our song so we can lip sync correctly. The crew we used was only Jody and I, although it was only us two we felt it worked well as it allowed us to communicate and make decisions easier.

At the end of our first day of filming. We had got about half of the footage we needed for our music video, meaning we had to hold a second day of filming to get the rest of our filming. We planned to hold this second day of filming on the 1st November. From our first session of filming, we realised that the angle used to film was important. For example, if too much area around the green screen is in the shot I can be hard to crop it when it comes to added the keying effect on final cut pro. On our second day of filming we will make sure that we get the shot in the right position in most of our shots to prevent issues occurring later on when it comes to editing.
